Eri Silk Sarees

Eri silk sarees, also known as Ahimsa silk sarees or peace silk sarees, are traditional Indian sarees made from Eri silk. Eri silk is a type of silk that is obtained from the cocoons of the domesticated silkworm species called Samia ricini, commonly known as the Eri silkworm. Unlike other varieties of silk, Eri silk is produced without killing the silkworm during the process. After the Eri silkworm completes its life cycle and leaves the cocoon naturally, the cocoon is collected to extract the silk fibers. This ethical method of silk production makes Eri silk a popular choice for individuals who are concerned about animal welfare and prefer cruelty-free alternatives.
