All the products present on Purbashree website have been hand-woven and hand-crafted by weavers and artisans in villages mostly at their homes.
Unevenness in weaves, prints, minor slubs in fabric and slight variation in color are expected outcome of an authentic craft process. These variations are typical characteristics of any hand-crafted product and are not to be considered as damage or defective.
Purbashree products mostly come from small master weavers, co-operatives and artisan entrepreneurs. As small businesses, while they strive hard to make and sell authentic handmade products to their customers, it is difficult for them to accept returns from customers as many times the products are not returned in original condition. For example a silk saree which is returned back in crumpled condition to the weaver cannot be resold again and is a huge loss for them.
Purbashree accepts returns only if a wrong product or damaged product is delivered. Exchanges are encouraged only on case to case basis and having genuine reason for such request. The product needs to be in unused and unsoiled condition with original folds (especially for sarees) and price tag intact.
Customers wishing to return or exchange, must intimate [email protected] within 2 days of receipt of the product which is being returned or exchanged with supporting photos of the product mentioning the reason for return or exchange

- Customers need to fold & pack the product neatly in the package and courier the product to the seller.
- Return pick up can be arranged by Purbashree as per confirmation on date & time by the customer.
Return pick up will be attempted 1 time only. Customer will need to ship the product back on the below address in case of failed attempt:

If any pin code is not feasible for a reverse pick up, then the customer will need to mail the product back to us.
Please note: We do not offer return and exchange order facility for international orders. International orders are shipped centrally from Purbashree’s warehouse in Guwahati after stringent quality check and this eliminates any quality or product related issues.
Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receipt of products in good condition. It may take up to 3 weeks after the product is dispatched to the seller.
We reserve the right to deny refund in case of soiled or damaged products.
Once an order is placed, the customer can call us within an hour to cancel the order.

Please provide valid reason for cancellation for us to consider your request. Cancellations are reviewed and accepted at the discretion of Purbashree management.
